Technology
There are now separate tech trees for each of the three Eras; the views we have do not suggest any connections between the Antiquity and Exploration trees. It is not clear how any unfinished techs are handled at the end of an Age. One also notes that the Exploration Age appears to begin in the Medieval era.
- Some technologies and civics have "Masteries" which can be researched to enhance the tech.
- You cannot progress past the tree for your Age until the next Age begins, but each Age has its own repeating "Future Tech" options.
The tree below is mostly from the Antiquity livestream, but the Masteries in that build just display duplicates of the parent tech, so I have substituted the older Masteries from the first gaemplay showcase, where available. Those are probably out of date, but they are better than nothing.

Each civilization has its own exclusive Civics tree with three or four items. The unlocks include upgrades for unique units and structures, special "Tradition" Social Policies which do not expire, and other various bonuses. Each also includes a special unlock for that civilization's associated Wonder, which functions in addition to the usual unlock method.
