Page centering

Post by Tamren »

Did you change the frontpage recently? It looks a bit different, the text on the update list is smaller for instance.

I was wondering if you could change the frontpage to make all content centered on the screen. On my screen everything hugs the left side and takes up just over half of the space, which leaves the other half as flat black.

I was dinking around with the CSS, so I may have broken something. I reuploaded the files, and if you hard refresh, it should go back to normal.

I did design a new template that centers the page in the browser, but I haven't got around to implementing it, as it requires updating every page.

I assume, then, that it's not possible to implement by updating outsider2.css?

No, each individual page needs to use a different div structure.

I now have scripts that can generate the comic pages, but all the other pages have to be done by hand.

It's not a huge deal -- it's just a matter of cutting and pasting the content into a new template page. I just haven't gotten around to it.
