The original
Bentusi version of the fighter on which the Somtaaw Acolyte
was based, the Super Acolyte is faster, much tougher, and
armed with twin ion cannons. The threat of the Beast
prompted the Bentusi to show their martial capability, and
this fighter demonstrates it pretty well; a flight of Super
Acolytes is remarkably dangerous.
Similar to
the downgraded Somtaaw version of the Acolyte, the Super
Acolyte's wings extend prior to firing its weapons.
At the climax
of the Beast War, the Somtaaw were able to convince the
Bentusi to allow them to build limited numbers of this
advanced fighters, which helped them to overcome the
Naggarok.
