I dont think that those bottles are made for long term storaging nor having some liquid nutrient meal on them.
Light isnt usually good for those, as it can activate reactions at molecyles.

Alcohol, being a diuretic, will also make you lose water faster. One way your body gets rid of waist is by urination, and booze is essentially a poison, so you are going to be peeing a lot.

I also believe either in on their page or their Q&A thread, Loroai don't don't like taking mind altering substances as being telepathic and/or telekinetic beings this could lead to some messy situations. Also assuming Fireblade is a lightweight, would you risk finding out if she's a happy drunk or an angry drunk?

Tempo's from a planet with "weird food". She might relate.

Or she's showing an other kind of interest that is not exactly food related, but does deal with milk.

My boring guess: she’s been quietly observing Alex’s less inhibited behaviour, and is now entering the fray to avert a Diplomatic Incident (eg Beryl punches Ex in the face).

I expect it’s an artefact of the cropping, but I kinda looks to me like Tempo is lying sideways across an armchair.

Tempo seems strangely unengaged for the sole diplomat.

She's engages in deep observation as their sole, and ranking spymaster. :)

...and internally laughing her ass off at the antics.

My guess for the setup:

Panel 1: Alex frantically explaining.

Panel 2: The girls looking grossed out.

Panel 3: Tempo expressing solidarity in the fact that Loroi from her world receive similar reactions to their preferred cuisine.

Bam... instant brownie points and connection with the alien. Well played, Tempo.

Looks like orion1836 was only off by 1 panel.

Oh Alex, what did you do?

It's gotta be pretty serious to make the irrepressible Talon look nervous.

EDIT: extra thought...
Alex: "Ah, an old-fashioned teachable moment.. The expressions on your faces line up quite well with how we feel about your destroying the Tithric."

The look they receive when they first hear his comment about not wanting beryls breast milk per say

Repeated in the final panel for humorous effect when he explains instead they reared a range of different related species as farm animals to mass produce milk for them instead and harvest it with specialized tools.

Instead of picturing cattle: they imagine humanlike creatures instead.

So Alex has the job of explaining the sheer diversity of animals on earth which far exceeds that of any known planet the Loroi have encountered so far (well outside of the ocean worlds i suppose)

If that's their reaction to Alex mentioning that Humans drink milk from *animals* that's funny.

Actually, I personally thought the "I'm not lactating" comment by Beryl was a bit over the top. It would have been enough to show her touching/guarding her breasts and saying "Y-You want milk?", slightly uncomfortable what this Human is implying. You don't need to exaggerate such puns.

Beryls reaction seemed very well done to me. She immediately went for the literal meaning and even when she thought about it, she was still taking Alex literally. That was both very Loroi and Beryl.

Well, nerd jokes have a long tradition in star trek, so it's just fine.

hi hi

My first thought is someone in an over the top victorian accent saying "Oh my! How positively scandalous!"

Although looking at the reactions, it seems like this is more than just a passing shock. Spiral in particular, it seems like something Alex said has seriously damaged her perception of humanity.
