Alright, here it is. The finished draft for the rules.
It's 11 pages. Thanks to anybody who reads that much. Maybe you even have some feedback.
What I'm interested in is your opinion on:
Balancing, what do you think of the numbers?
Skills, did I miss anything important?
Classes, should there be more to choose from?
Anything else? What would you like to see in such a game?

Sounds interesting! That ship combat concept looks a bit unbalanced though. With the weapons damage the way they are evasion is way better than armor since an average hit would equally kill either a light or heavy ship. If the heavy 'center' ship's armor could fully absorb just one average hit from a heavy weapon (4 HP) it would make that ship much more viable. Unless the heavy ships have some other big advantage (like massively more effective PD for example) they just seem too vulnerable.
