I think Cpt. Jardin is thinking hard about a very difficult decision:
1. Seize the opportunity to make an utterly inappropriate pun, which will certainly lead to a major misunderstanding and may even result in him being thrown out of the airlock
2. Miss the opportunity of a lifetime!

hi hi

Talon looks genuinely shocked that Beryl is touching her. I've got a feeling we're going to hear a little bit about the Loroi taboo on touching... maybe. ;)

Shoo! There are surely some things you need to do. Like storing supplies and preventing them from flying around when we tumble like this.

The sketch doesn't show that she's pushing her into the trash compactor.

I can conjecture WHY Beryl wants Tallon out of the compartment... 'snicker'. Tallon just said something VERY Lascivious! :)
Arioch has Three whole pages in the pipe for you all to enjoy when he gets them finalized and uploaded! :)

The pages are done on Patreon and Arioch has said before that he doesn't do April Fools jokes.

Jokes besides I can understand Beryl´s frustration. She is the closest thing to a xenobiologist around, and Alex is the representative of a newly discovered sapient race which looks too remarkably Loroi to be a coincidence. He is a puzzle begging to be solved, and the other members of the crew insist on getting in the middle of her research.

Looks like they wont give him a chance to do anything behinde them because they still suspect him as a spy.
Which is a bit dumb in my opinion, even if he is a spy, how is he gonna get data back to his territory?

It might be sufficient as a spy to disclose where potentially high-level prisoners-of-war are kept.
All you need for this is a radio-signal your fleet can home in to.

But the Loroi did not take Alex as a prisoner to keep in this system. They tried to send him to the next system, and the assault came just too early.

Well, no battle plan (and no spying plan) survives contact with the enemy...

However, you know this is not valid... the Loroi do NOT take Umiak prisoneers. THEY KILL THEM.
So that kind of intel from a spy would be useless... though indeed a creative spy might be able to find useful intel... however with Alex's clear undisguised difference.. he'd make for a terrible spy. Would it not be better to brainwash a Loroi supplemented and hidden with neural implants as a wounded solider to use as a spy? They'd at least be less suspicious... Alex as a spy makes no sense...because ALEX IS NOT A SPY..and it should be obvious.

Neuroimplants will be founded instantly on scaning.

Only thing i can think is to lure enemy fleet into a trap with diplomatic agenda, but create a fully sentient specie to kill some ships?
Really?

Where is this stated? It has been my impression that, while the nature of futuristic war does not leave many survivors to take prisoner, the Loroi will take prisoners if able. The Loroi are stated as being quite good at interrogation. (Although no prisoner can divulge information they don't know.)
