So, was locked in the cell for a week or did he get out any.
Also, hyperspace jumps cause nausea and stuff?

Re: Page 98
Did Reed appear in any of the previous pages?
The hair looks familiar, but all purple hair looks alike after a while.

Re: Page 98
It's in the Insider, apparently.
Alex has been through jumps before ... he should know, more or less, what his reaction to jumping is. That's probably part of how he can tell how many jumps have been made (and, thus, perhaps get an approximation on how far from Naam he is now, based on an "average" jump radius).
She might've been, best guess, either as a guard somewhere in the background, or from when he was in the medical section. 'Course, she could be brand new.

Re: Page 98
I wonder why the armour hasn't been painted.
Re: Page 98
It's probably some sort of materials requirement. Or the fact that if you're in fancy colors, that's just fine ... if you're not going into a combat situation, where, presumably, you don't want to get noticed by the enemy.Tamren wrote:I wonder why the armour hasn't been painted.

Re: Page 98
I do have to wonder why they feel the need to wear armour, given that does appear to be Fireblade, who has already demonstrated her ability.
Although it is possible, although maybe unlikely, they've already arrived and are wearing appropriate gear for the occasion.
Also, modern composite armour isn't grey like that, so how would you really know if that is painted or not?
It must be said they are bleak colours, which are preferable for camouflage, both on ship and on land.

Re: Page 98
My guess is that they are approaching Azimol and they don't know what to expect so they are on full alert.
Re: Page 98
They're getting ready to escort Jardin outside the ship most likely.
Re: Page 98
What I find more curious is that they're wearing armor that looks like it could function as a space suit, but their hair extends outside of the helmets. It'd take a pretty spiffy seal mechanism to make that even vaguely practical. Looks cool as anything, I'll grant, but seems a tad bizarre.
Re: Page 98
Well, the faceplate/visor seals, according to Arioch, in the WIP discussion thread, here. I'm fuzzier on how the back seals, what with the hair sticking out and all.Drek wrote:What I find more curious is that they're wearing armor that looks like it could function as a space suit, but their hair extends outside of the helmets. Though, Trantor suggested (jokingly, I think) that it's just a molded form on the outside, that matches the hair of the Loroi who the helmet is assigned to, with the hair on the inside.
I'd kinda agree with Voitan - they're probably escorting him somewhere either off-ship, either to a base or another ship, or they're bringing him to meet a VIP/DP who just transferred onboard.

I remember Arioch stating that there will be scenes on a shuttle*, so this will probably now.javcs wrote:I'd kinda agree with Voitan - they're probably escorting him somewhere either off-ship, either to a base or another ship, or they're bringing him to meet a VIP/DP who just transferred onboard.
*something he noted in a discussion about Talon and her chances of survival in battle, and that the scenes with her on the shuttle would be nicer if she´s still alive then, subsequently followed by some jokes by the audience IIRC

Wondering how the sanitary is in Alex' "room". Especially in light of what he wrote down on his "bed" on the chapter page, and his current sickness.
Re: Page 98
That's explain why the guards are wearing a spacesuits.

I have to admit, the hair looks really really odd to me. Most of all considering that both the two females have different helmets. As opposed to having the same one.
I assume there's some kind of magcom field on the back which let's the hair extend trough or something. Though hard vacuum probably isn't the most kind thing to hair.

Re: Page 98
It all depends on the Loroi's individual abilities. For instance, Fireblade is supposed to have the ability to form a "bubble" in space, so strictly speaking she doesn't need a EVA suit.

Good news on that front, hes not in his shoes either.NOMAD wrote: man i wouldn't want to be Alex shoes.

That thing on the forehead of Fireblades helmet surely encapsules her amplifier.junk wrote:I have to admit, the hair looks really really odd to me. Most of all considering that both the two females have different helmets. As opposed to having the same one.
So i´d guess they have personalized helmets.

*laught maniacally as the rest is taping in dark*
I am surprised nobody mentioned, what Arioch said earlier, that Empress-Regnant Grey Wind likes to commnad *?rule? Nah! * the Loroi Union from her Flagship that serves as a royal palace of sort. What are the chances she also likes, as a former soldier and general/admiral, to command directly "from the front". Perhaps from the Azimol system currently? I have a feeling that Alex is about to meet this Queen-Bit*h of the Universe in person. Also Arioch created that wonderful image of Grey Wind, saying that it will appear in the next 3 updates. Hmmm. What do you think?

Re: Page 98
"Reed" seems like such a human name, I love it (I know, I know, it's translated). I'm thinking Buddy cop movie.
"You're a loose cannon, Reed! Any more shenanigans, I'll have your badge and gun!"
"Reed! We just got word that some Morat smugglers are meeting with Don Kikitik! Get down to the docks right away!"
