Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
Missiles take up space. Space that they don't have on Lorai ships. It also takes materials. Something the Loroi seem to be having trouble with verses the Umiak, since the war has not been fought in pre-war Umiak space for the entire war. The Loroi did manage a major offensive some decades ago that g...

So navigation deflectors are not for protecting your ship, but to protect others from your ship later.

Re: Page 197: Playing games
The Elerians are basically hax on some levels. You can see what is in every star system and you can track the movements of all the alien species. So you will know where Orion is from the start. In the newer version by WarGaming, this means you can preplan out your colony and defense stations route a...

Re: Miscellaneous Terran question-and-answer thread
The only way to effectively counter the Umiak reproduction is to fight in Umiak territory and destroy facilities that are doing the breeding/cloning/cybernetic constructs. And the Loroi have not yet managed to force the war into Umiak territory for the entire course of the war. The last major offens...

Re: WIP Discussion (Part 1!)
That is what I figure based on the previous display seen on page 123.
The green path from page top to page right I think is the escape vector of the Black Razor to Enedd.
Interesting that the supply depot is still intact on the Azimol vector.

Re: Page 194: partial functionality
Alex's rank is of little importance at this time. He is the highest ranking human present and only known surviving officer of his ship. That is all that matters in his diplomatic relationship with the local alien species. At least until such time as another human ship arrives in the region or he is ...

Re: Page 194: partial functionality
Partially functional human tech, fully functional human? Surrounded by distrustful Loroi, though some seem at least sincere in their concerns over the human or their own situation (the pilots seem fine with him).

Re: The Science & Technology News Thread
USS Ticonderoga and USS Yorktown were ordered as DDG-47 and DDG-48, but changed to cruisers. The Virginia -class nuclear guided missile cruisers were originally nuclear guided missile frigates (destroyer leaders) before the 1975 reclassification. The US Navy has not built a proper "cruiser hulled" ...

Re: The Science & Technology News Thread
The world has very few cruisers left in service. The primary US Navy cruiser, the Ticonderoga-class, is actually a destroyer leader hull reclassified as a cruiser when it was thought there was a "cruiser gap" against the Soviet Navy in the 1970s. It should be note that destroyer leaders in the US Na...

Well, I wonder if Beryl would be offended by the thought of him using porn while cooped up with her and others? She was concerned about his "needs" earlier based on knowledge of males of her own species.

Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
Why would eye color in this case matter? Dreams are usually seem from your own point of view and you would not see your own self in them. If this is Fireblade's dream, its from her point of view, so Alex would be "in" her position for the dream, and thus no see her in it, but Be her in it.
