Re: [Fan Fiction] Notes and discussion for "A sword that wields itself"

Caught up. Intrigue is rising. While I can't recall every dream/vision scene in your previous posts, I think I see how some events might unfold. Can't help but get some "Dune" vibes here. Looking forward to the next post. Dune? Maybe a little. However, there won't be any "Kwisatz Haderachs" or gian...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread

How would a battle of Teidar vs. Teidar work out? Could they sense each other's telekinetic attacks? Is it possible to dodge, block, disperse, or even intercept them with a counter-blast?

How to tell where your food is from. USA: first ingredient on the list is "corn syrup". The list ends with "gluten free". Packaging shows a healthy, fit persona. Re: MoO II races and their parallels in Outsider

Spreadsheet simulator? No, this version was labeled “Master of Orion 3” and came on two CDs Even on the simplest setting, the other races overrun my worlds within a few hundred turns. I meant the game which was released in 2003. Playing it was as exciting as watching paint dry. The only amusing thi...

Intermission V: Shattered plans The Warrior was resting in her tent, a privilege she had earned with the recent success of her investigation. It has been over a decade since I have played MoO.  Re-installed MoO3 last night, and am now on turn 15, using humans on 'Easy' and mostly default settings.  Going for Economic/Trade strategy first, may change later.
Wait, by MoO3, do you mean that spreadsheet simulator, or the more recent title?

I worked for Dart Container.
Darth Container? A weird name for a Sith Lord. It does explain the evilness, though.

Re: [Wolf329] Fanart (now with animation!)

I wanted to give her a little variation from the typical in-comic Loroi build since she's a front line combat soldier, so I made her a little less twiggy. I can still see a "twig" where there should be none. She (he?) also looks far older than on page 180, probably because the face is too l...

Re: MoO II races and their parallels in Outsider

I had fighters and mass drivers early. That's a very powerful combination in the early game. Unfortunately, it has a major downside, you'll miss out on reinforced hull and ECM techs. This will make a long game in a bigger galaxy much harder, usually, people pick this path together with the Elerians...

Re: MoO II races and their parallels in Outsider

This particular playthrough was played specifically to simulate the origins of the Loroi empire (and I kept a log, which is the only reason I can recount details about a match played more than 20 years ago)... so I didn't use any weird configurations or cheese strategies that don't make sense for t...

Re: [Fan Fiction] Rellet Reimolad Roror (A sword that wields itself) Story Thread

Chapter XXXXIV: Divine guidance “Amplifiers? How much is there?” The Loroi never had the opportunity to salvage the remains of a dread-star, so she knew nothing of its composition. “Currently, the Humans have scanned about five-eights of the field, and estimate the amount of amplification materials...

Re: MoO II races and their parallels in Outsider

What difficulty level were you playing at? Also, did you use any of the advanced (but meta-) strategies, like "over-settling" worlds with subterranean species, reshuffling and mixing races according to their bonuses, etc.?

Look at what I did. All this serious talk made Beryl sad. Came across it on Bing. Bing says it's on Deviantart, but when I search for it on Deviantart there's no trace of it. Author is Koori101.
No trace? It's right here, you know?

I think that even between similar humanoid species, the physical differences would just be too great to allow for fair competitive sports. 230 cm tall Barsam: "Want to play tackle football?" 90 cm tall Neridi: "No, not really." Well, the Neridi and Barsam would at least be able to operate in the sa...

True but music, sports, and games transcend language barriers. Anyone up for a game of chess with a Umiak? Contact sports may be a bad idea for obvious reasons, but who knows? Basketball maybe? Baseball could work though I have always hated it for all the waiting around. Dodgeball would be epic... ...
