Post number: 54 There was no ambush forthcoming from the supposed attackers, and even less in the of answers from the other Loroi. The shock factor hadn`t completely worn off after seeing her like that, yet Colonial Marines didn`t panic under pressure. She seemed to be breathing better at least. Th...

I suppose Blood River is an example of technologically superior colonialist forces mowing down the primitive thorn-walkers in the thousands. But, on that same note; Native Americans, once armed with rifles were a serious threat to the regular army. Also, it wasn`t really the Colonial powers leaving ...

Re: Miscellaneous Terran question-and-answer thread
Two years for civil war isn`t very long at all, some African countries has be going on with that ten times as long. Civilization, if you want to call it that, in those affected countries just barely staggers on. I don`t think Humans are "less warlike" just more controlled in their going about it`s b...

I a bit of German because I can speak Afrikaans. Russian, I learned enough of to identify basic swearing. While I can attest there are there are more ways to call someone some foul, that I know of, in Russian. German, for me anyway, seems like an angry language it sounds angry. Not to say every Germ...

All of the American branches don`t accept any sort of non-citizen, I checked; them all. All of the services do in fact accept non-citizens. I'm actually serving with a few currently (one from Africa, though I'm not sure which country.) However, they don't accept citizens of certain other countries,...

I have some small understanding of military life, National Service was mandatory here in my fathers day. In my family, as I believe, there has been a soldier in every generation since the First Boer War. Regardless of perceived military blood, I know well war isn`t 'glorious'. To sum it, I'd say it...
