Re: Anti-gravity
When I posted the topic I did mean a form of gravity control, not specifically Anti-Gravity. A mere typo on my part. Are the artificial gravity generators able to be used as a weapon? Super dense Kinetic bombardment, or would it be more practical to use the weapons available in the current time fra...

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising [IC]
Lost in thought at the smallness of the universe and the sameness of the guests, Charlie could only ponder at the these things as the medics went about their business. At the medics instruction Charlie gave twist to his helmet and removed it. It gave a slight hiss and let in the smell of men and ste...

Re: Anti-gravity
So we should expect Mars born to be taller, due to the lesser force of gravity, and perhaps weaker in terms of brute strength unless something is done to combat this. In retrospect people born on mars and expected to remain there would not need any higher gravity, such as earth level, training and e...

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising (OOC)
My mistake, I had believed the shuttle damaged in the battle. I'll edit it out now.
And as for the medical observation, to Charlie you seem like a most terrible adversary, I doubt he would see weakness so much as lifting the box was not at your best, and you been able to do worse.

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising (OOC)
I used my mechanics, at rank 3 ( Spaceship ) to determine that the vessel was damaged. I also used a combination of Biological Sciences 1 ( Physiology ) and Medical 2 to determine that the Lorai was not 100%, but since she was in armor and hiding it I could not figure out what. Are these two accepta...

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising [IC]
Charlie was still at attention when the shuttle dropped in ever so slowly for a landing, the shuttle itself looked almost delicate, no, elegant. As if form was as important as function, nothing in the human fleet looked anything close to as nice as that small shuttle. Charlie depolarized his helmet ...

Re: Anti-gravity
My mistake, I meant Artificial gravity. I do know that astronauts suffer bone atrophy when exposed to micro gravity, that's why they have to exercise so hard, among other things. I was trying to determine if the Outsider humans had ''designed" colonists via genetics or used the gravity generators co...

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising [IC]
[Sealed and tight, sir.] Charlie recalled the rather tiny books on biological cross species contamination, most of them have to do with the Orgus. Sergeant Roland sent Charlie and another man to the Lorai shuttle, in a mock Honor Guard positions. Charlie was acutely aware of how small he was in the ...

Anti-gravity
I'm not sure if this has been answered before a search did not turn up much.
Do Humans use Anti-gravity on planet that have in-sufficient natural gravity?
Mars has only 38% of Earth's gravity.
Would this not affect in the long term anyone born on mars?

Way to keep things on track, Suederwind. I have no doubt of the cast would have died of old age soon enough.

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising [IC]
Dressed in his EVA Suit Charlie was standing shoulder to should with the best the Human race had to offer. During the wait for the shuttles Charlie was alone with his thoughts in the near silence of the docking bay. {Someone told me they look like us...} He thought silently. The feeling of anxiousne...

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising [IC]
Standing outside the Medical bay waiting for an opening out of respect for the commander and the Doctor. Charlie made sure to be out of earshot, just far enough to make out the sound of it, of the conversation. Working up the nerve and hearing a lull in the conversation... Charlie stepped towards th...

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising (OOC)
We could confine them to thier ship in our docking bay if they wish to remain armed, we would need to leave men stationed to ''observe'' them. The Orgus told Humankind that the Lorai commited a goodling number of warcrimes. I wouldn`t sleep well if armed hostiles could free roam on my ship. Worst co...

Re: [RP]Cydonia Rising (Characters)
EDIT: Fixed some errors and made it a lot cleaner looking. Sergeant Charles ''Charlie'' Aldridge Writing Color: ( #808000 ) -- Meaning of name -- The name Charles is derived from the common Germanic element hari meaning army or warrior. The Anglo-Saxon name Aldridge comes from the Old English perso...
