Re: Page 102

Why would Beryl think Alex would appreciate that security detail? Is she making some sort of assumption based on Loroi gender roles? Also, does she not understand why Alex would be uncomfortable around Fireblade, or is Beryl keeping a stiff upper lip and while sanzaing, "Alright people, we are goin...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread

I'm not sure what effect (if any) alcohol would have on a Soia-liron organism, and it's not something I plan to explore. Because alcohol is almost universal solvent, it hindrace chemical signals of our nervous system and I think it will work same way in any kind of biochemical system. And because i...

Silly question, can Loroi whistle and if so how prevalent of a habit is it? Or is whistling just a silly human thing.

Re: Sustainable Systems and Nuclear Energy

The first time I saw shale oil extraction was up in Canada about 10 years back. Open pit mining operation with huge trucks which take the stuff to these giant grinders... "Shale oil extraction is usually performed above ground (ex situ processing) by mining the oil shale and then treating it in proc...

Re: Sustainable Systems and Nuclear Energy

Well maybe we could put the waste in the North Dakota Slag pits which will arise from the shale oil operations. I mean it's just going to be one giant superfund site anyways.

Re: Sustainable Systems and Nuclear Energy

Forget that panic-thing. We Germans ain´t no whiny sissies, that´s wishful thinking by the international right-wing yellowpress. For the people, it´s rationality, for the industry it is happy anticipation for big business. And the latter is the cause why there won´t be a rollback. On the whiny siss...

Trantor's right, if stubborn Germans can go green other countries can too.

But if Germans are stubborn, then what does that make Americans.... (the answer's regressive.)

Re: Some questions about outsider

The issue with the Japanese Reactors (and most American ones also) is that they are designed to produce fissile material and generate electricity. Japan's civilian nuclear program also is a military program. Japan has stockpiled enough fissile material to build around 1000 Hiroshima sized bombs. Ira...
