Support is a new concept to Cataclysm. Each ship requires a certain number of Support Units (SU) to operate and stay in working order. The sum of the Support Requirements for all of your ships in the field or under construction must not exceed your fleet's maximum support capacity.

Support modules can be added to a Command Ship or Carrier to increase its support capacity. A command ship has space for 12 support modules; a carrier has space for 6. Each support module adds 10 SU's to the fleet total.
