Support is a new concept to Cataclysm. Each ship requires a certain number of Support Units (SU) to operate and stay in working order. The sum of the Support Requirements for all of your ships in the field or under construction must not exceed your fleet's maximum support capacity.

The Beast mothership can build 12 support modules, each of which supply 15 SU. Beast carriers cannot build support modules, but have a higher base support value than Somtaaw carriers.
