Besides Loroi civilians, (and the Orgus refugees) are there any other alien species that are successfully integrating into the confederacy?

The Orgus refugees elected to return home when their homeworld was liberated by the Loroi, as a political entity the Orgus are a fully fledged Union member as they were forcefully subjugated by the Umiak instead of being cooperative.Dorfington wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 9:00 amBesides Loroi civilians, (and the Orgus refugees) are there any other alien species that are successfully integrating into the confederacy?
Human society and subsequently the Confederation was weary of cooperating with aliens when the full history of the war and the local bubble became widely known. The Confederation in particular took draconian measures about the settling of alien populations into human territory, fearing a potential fifth column being used as a political tool by the Union. As a political entity the Confederation is a primarily human interstellar 'ethnostate', whose mandate is to defend and expand human interests.
The Loroi exiles and subsequent migrants were a forced exception; the Loroi leadership faced multiple internal issues from the sidelined Loroi civilian population while the piracy issue from the human side had caused a stir among the warrior castes, many of whom wanted to take an immediate action, with the goal of a permanent solution. The Emperor and the newly minted Confederation came into an agreement in order to maintain the peace. The Confederacy would either accept the exiles and buy time enough to hunt down the various pirate gangs or the Union would move in and subjugate humanity in retaliation of the pirate attacks.
There was public outcry among the human populace about this migration agreement (whose details were not made publicly known until decades later) seeing the Loroi migrants as a forcefully planted fifth column but the exiles quickly proved themselves to be both politically hostile to the Union and a highly skilled and capable workforce.
In turn the Union got to send a highly problematic minority of the Loroi civilian population somewhere where they couldn't cause much trouble, with reassurances about their humane treatment; which allowed the Loroi government to focus its attention on keeping the warrior castes in line.

Hopefully yes, I have been juggling a lot of RL issues the past year, including a COVID infection the past week. Hard to get one's mind in a writing mood.
