"Anytime you have a species that is stronger but just as smart and capable that can reproduce you have a problem."

The solution is to design them to interbreed with us. Blood is thicker than water.
So they have even more opportunity to outbreed the human genes? :|
""Conquer the temptation to create specimens that are superior in every way. The danger of such monstrosities being turned against you is too great.""
~PALPATINE, FROM THE CREATION OF MONSTERS.

The Emperor had the right idea: "Make them strong in areas where you are weak, and weak in areas where you are strong."

Pretty sure ligers cannot breed with humans. :P

The hybrid creatures obtained this way have a lot of health problems, including sterility for the males. They're not going to outbreed either the lions or the tigers. So moot point.

Nobody has tried yet. Think of the glory of fathering the first Ligerman!

"If they replace us by breeding with us, most people would agree. But what about a species that outbreeds us and is not interbreeding with us?"

Meh. If we let that happen, we deserve it. It's not like we wouldn't have thousands of years to think up a (nonviolent) solution.

"Make them strong in areas where you are weak, and weak in areas where you are strong."

That does make sense from a marketing perspective. I suspect the labor lobby will have something to say about replacing all the human workers.
