That's right, Tempo; the Mizol spy who may or may not have organized a test of sorts to the alien who may or may not be an enemy agent. The purpose of her caste is to lie at will in order to ensure no one else has to.

On the other hand Alex could may as well be sleeping for a few hours already; in the human military most guard duty shifts last about a couple of hours. With regular check ups to see if everything is ok. When I was an infantry grunt there were 3 different teams each getting to stand guard for 2 hours, then have 4 hours rest before going up again.

An interesting question will be, who else is sensing this dream of the human? If it is just Fireblade, she might keep it quiet (out of respect perhaps, since the question will be does this give them an understanding between each other, or is this an unintended invasion of privacy?). But if they others can sense it....than what?

If that is supposed to be Earth he's seeing, then it makes me wonder if he's connected to some kind of human-wide jung-esque unconscious, and Earth has already been hit by the Umiak or some other power.

But my money is still on Fireblade, since the sensation he felt when approaching the light seems similar to when he noticed Fireblade's presence in the past.
