And we have officially passed the $400 mark!

Image

Is it possible to see this Patreon's dollar amount earned in a timeline format? It doesn't feel like it's been that long to get from $1 to $400.

It seems like it has been a pretty steady accumulation over the 3 weeks it's been up.

Just a few weeks and already nearly at the first milestone mark? Damn Arioch, you should have started Patreon years ago!

Congratulations on page 109 btw.

Arioch I have not been billed for the previous 2 pages you have completed, I received an email notification but no charge was deducted from my account. I am certain that I correctly entered my billing information, whats going on here? Is anyone else having this problem?

I did use paypal for billing and so far everything went well. What did you use?

I'm not sure yet exactly how the system works; billing appears to be a process that is drawn-out over about 72 hours. Currently almost all of the patrons show as payments having gone through (only a very few show as declined), which took several days, but for some reason only about half of the funds (less fees) are showing up in my account balance. I don't know whether it's because there is some kind of delay or something else.

If you want to PM me the name or email that you're using on Patreon, I can check to see what the status is of your pledge.

I would ask Patreon for clarifications if the rest of the money doesn't appear after a few days.

The full amount came through; looks like they were just having some kind of delays.

Yay!

Hi congrats on the great patreon success. But it seems to have stagnated as of late and I checked just recently and it seem the amount each page recieves have dropped with about 80 dollars per page. I heard that patreon is changing it's policy to only show what each page actually earns instead of what is donated to each page. Could that have something to do with it? A couple of days ago it was up to about 478 but now it's 399.

Edit: Doh just found the questionmark and read the explanation. So never mind.

Yes, Patreon changed the display logic to subtract the estimated amount of fees (between credit card fees and Patreon's take, it's about 10% of the total). It's still not accurate for per-page donations, as some patrons have monthly caps on their pledges, so the first page per month might net $400, but the third page in the same month might net $350. Also, patrons can (and do) edit their pledges at any time, and so the amount can go down as well as up.

I'm pretty pleased with and encouraged by how things have gone in the first month.

With any luck if you can get a run of pages out you'll be able to get a larger following to build up.

Checked the Patreon and its at $564 so we're only $36 away from the $600 mark. If only 18 people change their donation from $1 to $2 we'll be at $600. We can do this, just a little bit more to go!

Long live Outsider! Long live Arioch! For as long as Arioch is active in the forums the comic and the Patreon stands the comic shall live on!

btw; Totally get that real-life needs to come first; we're a patient bunch and have been here through it all; I plan to maintain my Patreon and check back regularly for the foreseeable future.

I'm just slightly confused... was the understanding that Aricoh would only regularly produce pages if we hit 600? I thought that with over 500 he could still produce them, just a bit less often than a week, obviously with the lower the number, the less frequent. Not using a formula or anything, but just as a practical matter (he'd have more "other" work to do to make money). Is 600 a "magic" number we want to reach to kickstart the process? And, yes, I understand the other obligations are still there and might take precedence.
