As for the eating angle...

Alex: "I'm hungry, wanna go for lunch?"

Alex: "Lunch, you know... the meal you have in the middle of the day?"

Beryl: "Didnt you eat earlier today?"

Alex: "Yes, that was breakfast. Now it's lunch."

Beryl: "You eat more than once a day?"

Alex: "Three times a day is normal for my species"

Beryl: "... I see... and these meals... they all have different names?"

Alex: "The first is called Breakfast, the Second is called Lunch, the Third is called Dinner"

Alex: "Then there's Brunch, Supper, the Midnight Snack..."

What, no Klikie ? Though a couple of observations:
Does the Historian's wink imply a greater role in the plot? *nudge nudge*
Who is the Loroi with the yellow eyes and the hair that looks like lamb's wool?
Fireblade's blank stare pierces; it's almost as if she is in shock. Like as if one went to Dairy Queen only to discover that they are out of ice cream... speechless.

If I recall correctly, that's Welcome Rain; supposedly he's the Tempest Terrible's new Farseer.

Perhaps he *marks* his territory (or at least uses red tape to define his personal zone or bathes in tubs of jello as someone else suggested a while back....)

Have they picked him up yet? I thought that the current Farseer was due to be rotated back and replaced, but that that hadn't happened yet, and was going to happen when SG51 linked up with the next resupply convoy.

It "Welcome rain" the only loroi male we know of yet. supposed to replace / fix tempest farseer. or something like that.


and i think the point were people think loroi male are territorial come from beryl question on page 37 but it wasnt stated that loroi male were territorial.

Actually the way Beryl ask the question make me think otherwise; she seem to find it uncommon for males to be territorial. (Dunno how to explain that)
