Re: WIP Discussion (Part 1!)
Sorry for the delay on pages 111-113. I'm still futzing with the 3D cockpit elements. http://well-of-souls.com/temp/page111_6.jpg Yay! New pages coming up! Also, new character, or is she "just" the pilot of the shuttle? Stay tuned and find out on the next episode of.... Outsider! That's Talon. You ...

Re: Miscellaneous Umiak/misc. races question-and-answer thre
The discussion of decoys and jamming was getting a bit off-topic, so I moved it to its own thread here . Definitely for the best. Thanks for the sanity check! Huh?, I also value Arioch very highly. But I do not consider him a god. Weeeeelllll... Maybe not a god. How about demiurge? :P

Re: Decoys, Jamming and Countermeasures
...stuff... I'm not even going to bother replying to your specific points, since it just doesn't seem to go anywhere. You seem to be stuck on torpedoes being the end-all weapon of Outsider. You have been presented with many arguments, via this thread, the Insider and the comic itself as to why that...

Re: Miscellaneous Umiak/misc. races question-and-answer thre
Hi, Jack. Now, I imagine you have already found the Insider , as you've been quoting ship and torpedo specs from it, but there's the link anyway. Tons of information on the Loroi and Umiak. From how they think, to how they evolved, to how they fight and a brief history of the war. And, if you get a ...

Therefore, in most cases, when properly used, fuel remaining in contact with the torpedo is not important. Even a small torpedo strike only the kinetic energy of damage equal to tens and hundreds of hits pulse cannon Loroi. What in the world of comics still destroy almost any vehicle. I'm afraid an...

Re: Miscellaneous Umiak/misc. races question-and-answer thre
I imagine the language barrier is what's leading to all this confusion, jack, but I'll try again: Mass production requires a complex, highly developed organization. The complex logistics, optimization of the structure under the available technologies and resources, mining and processing resources on...

Re: Miscellaneous Umiak/misc. races question-and-answer thre
Except that seemingly the Umiak don't care too much about losses, so might see the use of a dedicated decoy a loss of direct offensive power in the heat of battle, because of the resources used for it. If Umiak would act in such a way they would not have reached its current can. Actually, they can....

Re: [Fan Fiction] Looking forward to the Mirror
Basically, this does require a leap of faith, but it's much more sensible than the movie Hackers. Man, what isn't more sensible than Hackers? :P I think I actually saw one or two, though I seem to have wiped all other trace from my memory... That's kind of a depressing thought. And probably true, b...

@dragoon, Razor
You guys reaffirm my faith in humanity. My first thought was "Does Alex have a marker?" He could introduce the Loroi to one of humanity's finest artistic traditions!

Yeah, that's probably the answer to a number of the issues pointed out in this thread. Remember that he made his career out of a show where they made shit up as they went along. <wince> Ah, right. </wince> Where are the starships? Spiked into the dirt on various planets, obviously. Because you can'...

Re: Star Wars SPOILERS ALLOWED
My impression of Kylo Ren was that he was very much a wanna-be Sith, a poser. Even after he killed his father he didn't seem any more evil or "Dark Side." At the end, I had the impression that he was wondering "Why am I not more of an evil badass? WHYYYYYYY?!?!?!" (that should be read as "NOOOOOOO"...

Re: Star Wars SPOILERS ALLOWED
Question: did it seem a bit rushed to anyone else? It seemed very rushed. I think the story could have benefited from a few quiet moments in which the characters get to know each other. Oh, thank goodness, it wasn't just me. JJ crammed way too much into the movie. I think that it would've benefited...

What is the trade word for vermin? What is the trade word for bugs or insects? None of the Sister Worlds has a direct analogue to the insect (a small exoskeletal land organism). On Deinar and Taben, most land animals are introduced higher animals. Perrein has a variety of native creepy-crawlies, wh...

What sorts of games interest you? Just based on what I've read in your comic and your comments here in the forums, I think you would find the System Shock games at least a little entertaining. Definitely not your standard action-y FPS. I enjoy a variety of game types. I read a positive review Syste...

Very slick, Arioch.
And, yeah, ice, there is no hesitation on that throttle. Running like they stole something! Or, getting away from a really angry warship captain on a hair-trigger.
