Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
Not once in our collective lives have I or anyone with whom I have ever conversed used, or heard someone use, the term "memory" to refer to hard drive space. Equally, I have never in my life heard someone refer to RAM as 'memory'. This may be a cultural thing then. Im with Red, I assumed har...

Re: Gyrojet Pistol
Makes sense now. Although when exactly an astronaut would need a sidearm whilst on EVA, I have no idea. think back during the cold war and the space race between USSR and and USA and you may have a reason to carry a side arm that could work in space. Exactly. Though I think a better astronaut gun w...

Yeah but most guns have a good amount of recoil. My understanding was that these gyrojet gun had very little.

I love that thing, such a hilarious weapon. Though I think I recall reading about how such concepts were considered for an astronaut gun.

im wondering if a lorois ears are sensitive. Oh Boy! Reminds me of that Warhammer 40k Eldar ear thing I found on 1d4chan. ? There was a lore thing written by games workshop that was supposed to be a sort report on Eldar biology and it stated the Eldar's ears are an erogenous zone. Somebody from 4ch...

I was a actually interested in those things. Being able to get to get around the solar system with a drive than can pretty much be accelerating during most of the journey would be awesome.

I was worried I would have to correct some miss conceptions about the drive but I was having difficulty figuring out how to word it correctly. So I'm glad someone else did.

Re: Miscellaneous Terran question-and-answer thread
I recall hearing the gyro-jet gun was supposedly going to be an astronaut weapon to shoot space commies. I guess the recoil was supposed to be low enough that firing it in the low-g orbit environment wasn't dangerous for the shooter. I will confess that I don't care to much for the thing so I've nev...

I dont think it matters too much if they break, because you'd never fly a spaceship by the things you can see outside of it. You would pilot the ship based on sensor data.

I think its because the Terran Military ships were mostly built for show and were never really meant for fighting anything as well armed as they are.RedDwarfIV wrote:Why do Terran vessels have an 'external' bridge?
